Increasing Attentions of Genepharm’s Products at 2008 AAD meeting

            The 2008 American Academy of Dermatology annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas, was attended by nearly twenty thousand people around the world during the exhibition from February 2 – 5, 2008. Genepharm showcased its innovative technology and products for dermatologists and experts in skin-related fields. The Calcium-T™ technology is the Genepharm’s essential ion-enriched mineral complex that can effectively carry calcium ions into epidermis to restore the normal calcium concentration gradient. This technology gained significant industrial attentions when it was awarded the US patent in 2007. Due to its ability to transport the require amount of calcium corresponding to the optimal calcium concentration of each layers within epidermis, the formulation can effectively and efficiently restore the skin barrier regeneration and homeostasis. Genepharm applied this technology on its first product series, Dermesis, which can be used as post-photothermolysis treatment and as adjunctive therapy of skin disorders.

            Genepharm’s science-backed technology and novel products drew significant attentions from the crowd, including dermatology physicians and cosmeceutical experts from various countries. With established product reputation and business connections, a number of them showed high interests in Dermesis and also discussed the possibility of partnership or collaboration. (Jeff Liao)
